Motopp considers the privacy and protection of personal data very important. We therefore only process data we need for (improving) our services and treat the information we have collected about you and your use of our services with care.

This privacy statement applies to the use of www.motopp.nl. The effective date for the validity of this privacy statement is 1 October 2023, with the publication of a newer version the validity of all previous versions expires.

This privacy statement describes what information about you is collected by Motopp, what this information is used for, with whom, and under what conditions this information may be shared with third parties.

We also explain to you in what way we store your data and how we protect your data against misuse, and what rights you have in relation to the personal data you provide to Motopp.

    a. This privacy statement describes how Motopp processes (personal) data of its Users in the context of the website and the service.
  3. Personal data a. Personal data refers to information about an identified or identifiable natural person. Depending on users’ use of Motopp’s website and its services, Motopp may process the following data of its users: First and last name; E-mail address; Data relating to user’s device (to be called: laptop, mobile, computer etc.), such as an IP address (Motopp has anonymised the collection of IP data via Google); Communication preferences; Information obtained through cookies, about the user’s use of the website;

b. Motopp collects personal data from user in the following ways:

  1. By contacting us via Motopp’s contact form.
  2. By contacting us via email.
  3. By signing up for a newsletter or download.
  4. By following Motopp on social media.
  5. By registering for a training course/vacancy via the HR platform Personio linked to this website.
  6. By providing data via our chatbot (currently not active).
  7. If the user is required to provide certain data, the User will be informed of the consequences.

4. Purposes and bases for processing personal data

  1. Motopp processes a User’s personal data based on the legal bases in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) on the basis of:
    1. Consent;
    2. Execution of an agreement with user;
    3. Request for contact;
    4. Newsletter subscription request;
    5. Request regarding a download such as a white paper, customer case, fact sheet or brochure;
    6. Request regarding an application for a training course or a vacancy;
    7. Meeting a legal obligation;
    8. Performance of a task of public interest;
    9. Legitimate interest of Motopp or a third party.
  2. Motopp processes certain personal data in pursuit of its legitimate interests. Motopp’s legitimate interests include: supporting customers in the field of software development in the broadest sense of the word. Guiding people with a distance to the labour market to work, contacting clients that offer jobs to these candidates, contacting municipalities that want to guide people with a distance to the labour market to work, training and guiding people at clients, recruitment and assessment of candidates for training courses and vacancies, marketing its services, researching its own products or services, IT management and security, sharing data with Motopp-affiliated parties, and so on.
  3. Some organisations make a decision based on automatically processed data. This is not the case with Motopp.
  4. Motopp processes personal data for the following purposes, on the basis of the bases specified therein:

*) The e-mail communication surrounding registrations on the website and the newsletters, are sent (automatically) by Motopp via its own SMTP mail server (motopp.nl) and Mailchimp. Besides your e-mail address and any other personal data applicable to the relevant notification, we also record the subject of the relevant notification in some cases. Anonymised data on click behaviour is also collected via Mailchimp. This allows us to see how our e-mail communications and newsletters are received and make informed decisions about optimising them. In every newsletter you receive from Motopp, you have the option at the bottom to unsubscribe or indicate which type of mailings you do and do not want to receive from Motopp, where relevant. To collect data via a contact form, we use the platform Gravity Forms. We use the data we collect via Gravity Forms in order to contact you. Motopp may also collect contact data provided by the user when using our chatbots (currently not active). Motopp may also collect personal data via the HR platform Personio, for example when registering for a training course, vacancy or event.

5. Protection personal information

  1. Motopp handles your personal data very carefully. Motopp has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to secure your personal data against loss or any other form of unlawful processing.
  2. Personal data is collected anonymously whenever possible. As a result, Motopp tries to protect your data as much as possible.

    6. Cookies
    1. Motopp makes use of so-called “Cookies”. With these cookies, in accordance with the preferences specified by User, Motopp automatically collects certain data about the history of User’s activities on the website and third-party apps. Thus, personal data of User may be collected while User is using the website or apps or if they run in the background on User’s device. This data may be combined by Motopp with other data about User’s device, such as an IP address (Motopp has chosen to collect IP data through Google in an anonymised form). If this requires User’s consent, Motopp will request it in advance.

      7. Rights of user

      a. The user has the right to access, rectify and delete his or her personal data, in accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
      b. User also has the right to object to the processing of his or her personal data.
      c. User can request Motopp to restrict processing and data portability. The latter means that user has the right to receive the personal data that Motopp holds about him or her in a structured, common and readable form and, if necessary, to have Motopp transfer it to another processing controller.
      d. If the user has consented to the processing of their personal data, the User has the right to withdraw this consent at any time.
      e. If the user wishes to exercise any of these rights, or if the User has any questions about this privacy statement, the User can reach Motopp at [email protected].
      f. Users may unsubscribe from the newsletter or otherwise emailings sent via Mailchimp in execution of an application for which the User has given consent, by sending an email to [email protected] or using the Mailchimp opt-out function found at the bottom of the relevant emailing.

      8.  Retention period
      a. Motopp retains personal data for a period of 1 year since the last visit to the website, unless Motopp is obliged by law to retain personal data longer.

      9. Changes to this privacy statement

Motopp reserves the right to modify this privacy statement. Any adjustment will be announced on this page. Motopp therefore advises the User to regularly check this page to see if any adjustments have been made. The current privacy statement has been updated on 1 October 2023.
